Incek House

The Rhythm of Everyday Living

The Vision

İncek House was envisioned as a composed retreat for a young couple seeking clarity within the complexities of contemporary life. The project set out to replace fragmented spaces with a sense of settled warmth, creating a home where simplicity carries depth. The vision was to establish a dwelling defined by balance, where the architecture serves as a serene backdrop for daily life to unfold without formality.

The Composition

The restructuring focused on establishing fluid visual and functional connections between the primary living areas. By simplifying circulation and removing unnecessary transitions, the interior operates as a unified entity where movement feels intuitive. This reorganization allowed the living room, dining space, and kitchen to support shared use while maintaining a sense of openness and continuity that was previously missing.

The Materiality

Decisions were guided by a philosophy of warmth and longevity. Natural wood surfaces form the foundation of the interior, introducing an intimacy that is complemented by a restrained palette of green and beige. A deep burgundy kitchen serves as a subtle focal element, offering a sophisticated contrast within the neoclassical shell. Custom joinery and carefully sourced textiles reinforce a sense of material continuity, ensuring that every texture from the floral wallpapers to the furniture contributes to a dialogue between tradition and modernity.

The Atmosphere

The house is defined by a spirit of quiet confidence. It offers a reassuring environment shaped around comfort and functionality; a personal space designed to feel familiar from the first moment and to grow more meaningful as the years pass.
